Today was a nice day. It was lovely and sunny, I had the house to myself, and nothing needed to be done. So I sat on the bench outside for an hour or so reading my book. The only thing that marred the occasion was the bloke down the end of the garden mowing his lawn for the whole time I was out there (it's only a small garden!), and the kiddies next door shouting at each other. Although that was quite amusing.
Girl: "Crap!"
Boy: "Don't say that!"
Girl: "But it's not swearing!"
Boy: "I don't care - I don't like it!"
A very well brought up child, I thought!
Oh, and the wasps. I didn't like the wasps. I didn't notice them for ages and then one buzzed round my head and I got scared. They can smell fear - I'm sure of it! And they're reinhabiting their nest, which is bad 'cos it means that the exterminators won't come until the end of summer, which means we won't be able to enjoy our garden! Grr!
