The past few days have been quite spiffing really. On Thursday, I had my training day for the new job I'm doing. I'm now a casual moderator for CBBC! Cool huh!

Then at lunch time I went to check my e-mail, and found out that I've won a year's supply of ice cream!! Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum... it's the big litre tubs of Mackies, and my first win of the year (I'm a bit of a compoholic...)! Bang goes the diet that Dave and I are currently competing on!

Then on Friday I had an interview for a job as a Rights Assistant. They organise the contracts and payment of actors, presenters, musicians etc. and deal with copyright of music and archive clips. The interview went really well - I managed to answer all the questions with examples and without hesitating, and prior to the interview I had a spelling and grammar test (whoop!) followed by a maths test with calculator supplied (double whoop!). They should let me know next Friday...

Today I'm doing a double shift at work so that I can have next Thursday off to do another day's moderating training. I'll be starting properly in April, and we get to go on a "bonding" outing (oo-er!) a couple of weeks after that. Sounds...interesting...

Oh by the way - it was my birthday last week. We went to The Gardening Club in Covent Garden to celebrate on Friday. It's nice, if a bit small. Their cocktails are quite cheap on Happy Hour (we didn't buy any drinks after that), and they played "Return of the Mack" by Mark Morrison! If the music had stayed like that I'd have highly recommended the place, but it went a bit mainstream after that. Boo! Full of students trying to find a random shag, but then again, where isn't?!
